Data Analysis & Translation
To complement System Studies' engineering services and stickmap development, our Customer Services Department provides a Device Analysis Translation service for PressureMAP program(s) applications. System Studies will provide MAP users with a PressureMAP data disk that contains device information for individual wire centers. Device data is entered into the program using the PressureMAP editor and copied onto a data disk for distribution. All information provided by participating operating companies is organized by our Customer Services personnel, entered into the PressureMAP database, and thoroughly tested before an office is placed in operation.

In order to begin Data Analysis Translation, three primary source records are required: the wire center stickmap(s), a transducer master log (with current transducer information), and the Cable Pressurization Automatic Monitoring System (CPAMS) printout for each wire center being added to PressureMAP. This information is cross-referenced for accuracy before the data entry process begins.

All important PressureMAP specific device determinations are made by our data analysis personnel. This information includes the following: device types (PressureMAP two digit device identification), transducer types, air pipe affiliations (pipe or sector), and location codes. Remaining device information is obtained from existing pressure records and/or Master Logs.
