High Resolution Pressure Transducer  Part No. 9800-4000
System Studies' High Resolution Pressure Transducers™ use solid-state, integrated circuit technology to provide greater accuracy and dependability for remote air pressure measurement. The transducers produce readings in the range of 0-30 Pounds per Square Inch (0-207 kPa) with resolution down to 0.1 PSI (0.7 kPa). Because their output is linear (from 4 to 20 milliamperes), as opposed to the 0.5 PSI (3.45 kPa) stepped readings of resistive transducers, they are capable of detecting very subtle changes in pressure. And unlike resistive transducers that have an internal resistor scale and wiper arm that can malfunction and cause inaccurate readings, our pressure transducers provide extremely dependable performance.

The High Resolution Pressure Transducers are available in a variety of configurations to suit your specific application. Variations pertain to the type of fittings supplied and the transducer's intended application / installation.

High Resolution Flow Transducer  Part No. 9800-4100
Our High Resolution Flow Transducers™ utilize the Flow Finder System of Measurement™ to bring unparalleled versatility and accuracy to remote air flow measurement. When pneumatically connected to a Flow Finder™ (either an individual unit or one installed in a Flow Finder Manifold™ or Flow Bank™), the High Resolution Flow Transducer provides readings from zero flow to full flow in the designated Flow Finder range. It also provides accurate readings up to two times the indicated flow range maximum.

Unlike mechanical flow transducers that provide electrical resistance output in 20 or 40 steps, our High Resolution Flow Transducers use solid-state circuitry to provide stepless current loop output in the range of 4 to 20 milliamperes. PressureMAP™, via the 289H LSS™ monitor, converts the transducer's electrical current output into precise flow readings (down to 0.1 SCFH/2.8 LPH resolution for each Flow Finder range).

High Resolution Dual (Pressure/Flow) Transducer  Part No. 9800-4200
This transducer combines the capabilities of our High Resolution Pressure and Flow Transducers into one nickel-plated brass housing. It is ideal for monitoring central office panel air delivery equipment, Flow Finder Manifolds, and end of pipe locations.

The transducer pneumatically connects to an external Flow Finder™ to provide the differential pressure measurement used for both the flow and pressure readings. The transducer housing contains two circuit boards: one measures the difference between Flow Finder's high and low pressure sides; the other measures pressure entering the housing from the Flow Finder's low side. These pressure values create small voltage outputs which are converted to electrical current values (between 4 and 20 mA) and transported via two dedicated conductor pairs to the 289H LSS monitor.

The High Resolution Dual Transducer is available in a variety of configurations to suit your specific needs.

Nitrogen Tank Sensor  Part No. 9800-4430
This item is a stainless steel, cylindrical device that threads into the high pressure side of a nitrogen tank's pressure regulator. It measures tank pressure from 0 to 3,000 Pounds per Square Inch (PSI) and outputs the information as a loop current value in the range of 4 to 20 milliamperes.

The device is powered by voltage—in the range of 10 to 48 volts DC—supplied over a pair of dedicated conductors by the 289H LSS monitor. PressureMAP calls the 289H monitor, scans the device reading, and converts the PSI value to a volume reading between 0 and 220 cubic feet.

For additional information about this Nitrogen Tank Sensor, refer to our datasheet.

Relative Humidity / Temperature Sensor  Part No. 9800-4410
Designed primarily for central office dryer room monitoring, this dual sensing device provides remote monitoring and alarming of high humidity conditions and ambient room temperature. The humidity sensor detects changes in relative humidity between 20 and 95% and responds with a current loop value between 4 and 20 milliamperes. The temperature sensor provides an electrical resistance output in the range of 2069 ohms to 885K ohms that is converted by PressureMAP to a temperature reading between 32° F (0.0° C) and 150° F (65.5° C).

For detailed information about this temperature/humidity sensor, refer to our datasheet.

AC Voltage Sensor  Part No. 9800-4505
This device is ideal for monitoring incoming line voltage to key AC-powered equipment, such as central office air dryers. Designed for 220V AC three-phase applications, this sensor provides accurate and reliable voltage measurement on three individual 4–20 mA output pairs. System Studies recommends one device for each 220V AC three-phase branch in a wire center to monitor air dryer AC power. Note: This sensor should be installed ONLY by a qualified electrician following the manufacturer's instruction supplied with the product.

For more information about this AC Voltage Sensor, refer to our datasheet.

Contact Alarm Expander  Part No. 9800-4450
The Contact Alarm Expander™ is a small, DC powered block of solid-state relays that makes it possible to convert a standard "open/closed" contact indicator into several isolated and varying contact configurations. Each of these outputs can be read simultaneously by different monitors. The Contact Alarm Expander takes a normally dry contact as input and relays the state of this contact to two normally open contacts, one normally closed contact, and one 540/270 ohm contactor.

In application, this device makes it possible to monitor air dryer equipment remotely without interfering with existing, on-premises contactor alarming.

For more information about the Contact Alarm Expander, refer to our datasheet.

Barometric Transducer  Part No. 9800-4050
Our Barometric Transducer is designed to be used with High Resolution Transducers in pressure systems that are affected by extreme barometric fluctuations or are located at relatively high altitudes. With one barometric pressure transducer per office, PressureMAP™ will be able to compensate the High Resolution Pressure Transducer™ readings which are affected by barometric changes and altitude.

For additional information about the Barometric Pressure Transducer, refer to our datasheet.

Water Level Sensor  9800-4400-T
The System Studies Water Level Sensor™ is an electronic contactor device that is housed in a 3/4 inch by 6 inch protective copper tube. Designed for installation in a central office sump or along the base of a central office wall, the water level sensor provides an early indication of the presence of water.

Attached to the sensor are two PIC-insulated conductors which sample the moisture at the device's point of installation. Like other monitoring devices, this moisture sensing device is wired to an office monitor, such as a 289H Loop Surveillance Sensor (LSS)™, over a single pair of conductor wires.

For detailed information about this flood detection sensor, refer to our datasheet.
